Today we're going to learn how to do the "Stroke" effect.

First of all ready your base. I'm using a picture of Selena Gomez on her way to the plane.



Now type in your text. I'm typing the word hmm..... with black color in the font Arial but this part expirement, choose different fonts and colors.




You can't see the text properly so you are going to stroke the text.



On your bottom left hand corner of the layer palett you will see a f. Click on it and a pop - up should appear.



Experiment with the size of the stroke, color and what type of fill you want. You can even use textures!

I used the color white with the size 3. As a result, I got this:



These are other example of icons I used with the stroke effect. On this icon you see below i used a texture with the size of 3.



On the icon you see below the text friends forever i used stroke with the color black and the size 1. As for the Ross and Chandler text I used the black & white gradient and experimented with the angles. I used size 1.

Today we're going to learn how to do the "Word Wrap" effect in Photoshop.

Ready your base. I'm going to use this picture of Selena Gomez while she was in the shooting of Wizards of Waverly Place. If you want it to be icon sized it should be 100 x 100 pixels.



Now use the text tool. Type the text that you want. I typed Selena. Place it where you want.


Just the Selena text looks a little boring right? Now, things get interesting. Click you text layer.


Then on top you can see an icon that look like this: (You can only see the icon with the if you click the text tool.)



A pop-up should appear. It should look something like this:



Click on the drop down box then click on the one you would like.



Experiment with the Bend, Horizontal Distortion and the Vertical Distortion.

This was my end result:



Remember you can also stroke the text. This is another icon I made with the Word Wrap Effect. I used the stroke effect with a texture for this one.

So see the icon page! I uploaded 32 Twilight Icons! YAY! My favorite icon is 226 from that batch BECAUSE I did some blending unlike the others. I cropped Robbert and Kristen from 2 pictures and used the icon 237. It's very simple. I'll give you a 4 STEP TUTORIAL!

For Photoshop Only but if you have any other program it SHOULD BE translatable.

1: Find a background as in find something like trees and such. I used this icon:


2. There is no way there's enough space to put Robbert and Kristen so what I'm going to do is lift the twilight text higher and with the leftover white space you blend it in with the clone stamp. As a result it looks like this:



3. Now you choose your character you want on your icons. I wanted Kristen and Robbert. I cropped them from two different pictures. In this step feel free to be creative. Choose 5 character from the same pictures standing close to each other. Crop the images carefully with the magnetic lasso tool.

4. As a result you should have something like this:

Now I also wanted to ask you, do you like my style of posting? I put a icon, then next to it put my mood, music and something random. If you don't I can go back to my old posting. Cause it's you who inspire us to well make this graphics site.

I have so much homework. One mothertouge(Tamil) practice paper even though exams are over, 10 pages of maths homework(I hate MATHS) and 4 pages of English(I love English) but the teacher had to give more Tamil & Mathematics homework! Why?

I miss Pearl and Pameyla. I would feel great to talk to them. Talking to Pearl feels great but Pameyla it's just like a robot. No Offense but all we do is talk about this site. When can we talk as best friends not owners? I can't seem to understand at times.

My sister went to this dance audition last week and got in! Yay her :) But yesterday for practice i just tagged along with her and two of her friends were so damn bossy! They're five people in the group. They don't know if they've gotten in though. I don't need this audition because I'm in a musical and have to work 24/7!

I just wish I won't go to India this June. If not all my hard work will be crushed like last time. First in the second grade I had this play and it was VERY important to me since I had the lead role and it was my first place but I had to go to India. In forth grade in sports day after my effort for first,second and third grade I had finally gotten to go to play in the Hurdles and Captin's ball section but no I had to go to India. I asked my parents but they repiled "I'm sorry honey, I really not sure. If something comes up then yes. If it does we can go on amusment rides, you can eat as many chocolate as you want, drink as many coke as you want, go to the planitorium and do a lot of fun stuff." I was really angry. If they say we are going to India I will definatley kill them!

Anyways, I'm gussing this is one of my longest post I've written. Nvm that I have 3 more day till school starts. Time goes so fast. I should have listen to Nights of Cydinya by Muse.

"Don't waste your time or time will waste you...." It really is true. Well five more Huntik Secrets and Seekers episode. It's an awesome show. You can watch it online or if you live in Singapore you can watch it in OKTO at 7.30 or weekdays. I don't get why I ONLY like huntik some much..... Well I feel hungry so I gotta go now. bye :)
